Space is big. It's very big. In fact, there is no physical evidence that shows that it is not infinite. (Nor any that proves that it is, I should note.)
It is true that we cannot see an infinite distance, but that is because the density everywhere some 13.65 billion years ago was so high as to be opaque to all detectable wavelengths of radiation. (This is another way of describing the Big Bang.) Thus any photon that was emitted before then never got to us, so we can only see photons that have traveled less than 13.65 billion light years (10 to the 22nd power kilometers if you prefer).
So, the observable universe is of finite size, but there is no indication that the observable universe is anything more than a small region of a possibly infinite larger universe.

In our knowledge it is already that BIG ,we talk about stars that are 100,000 light years away. The graviton well of 1 Galaxy can be 1000 light years across. The size of a Galaxy is so large it is near infinity. It is formed by an infinity gravity well . It may be a new definition of infinity. Man thinks he can dream of this ,with his formulas . It is God"s domain and we cant master it. It is an accident???We are so insignificant that I have used star charts that were made in the late 1800 and nothing had moved. Our lives are as short as a vapor that is here for just a short time and is gone.Leave your mark of doing good to your fellow man.

Space is forever growing and is infinite; this is because we will live forever and this is just natures way of telling us that we obviously will. by being that much space around us that will take us forever to journey . it is forever growing because there are people that are trillion of years old and they obviously are going to live another trillion billion years; so they need a outlook called more out of space. good idea.

It is so massive engineered that it came to rest at -0- inches of vacuum. If you took off in one direction you would get lost trying to reach a end.( Lost in space )

It's infinite, hence the reason why its called 'space.' No, it's not impossible to go forever, as space is effectively a vaccum. Steven Hawkins described this theory...

no one actually knows how big space is even though there have been lots of guesses. It is impossible to find out exactly but many have tried to guess.

Impossible for it to go on? Isn't it impossible for it to end? Either way, infinite or bounded, it is mind blowing!

"it's physically impossible to go on forever"
You never know until you try. You cannot try to go on forever. Therefore using deductive reasoning, we will never know.
