There are directions on boxes of dye available in supermarkets. All-Purpose Rit is a well-known brand. The directions make allowances for your dyeing all sorts of fabrics and blends: Cotton, polyester, wool, silk, acetate, acrylic, etc. Some people try to use clothes washing machines to dye, but I wouldn't recommend it.
