Yes.. Well im British. I can talk normal standard English. I have relatives living in the U.S. but that's a different story. I can talk normal too, that's what i do because i don't want to confuse others that's why i try avoid saying: 'Cheers mate or me house is over there'. Foreign language? You haven't even heard us talking, i guess you could say it would be a foreign language if you heard us talking this way, slang etc. Wales is so hard to understand, it's a foreign language! I talk with a normal accent and people should be able to understand me. They always think im from the States.. Im not!
Cheers mate.. =)
Have a nice day!

Oh, do we now?
Funny eh.... what is the name of the language, how could the English speak a foreign version of English...???
No matter though. I have wondered this too, and I think yes, there are two different versions (check bottom of page to see different country Yahoo's).
I automatically go to the US one at home, but at work the UK one, I don't know how or why though.

Yep, and us Aussies too. It's because Yahoo! is an international franchise. You can turn off foreign questions by clicking on "Show only ....... questions" at the bottom of the page.

You can have cross-over questions and you don't realize it until you see the word "honour" or someone wants to know the best restaurant in Whitley Bay

I would like to state quite categorically on behalf of the citizens of the UK (me being Irish of course) that the standard of grammar, spelling etc., being used by both sets of persons who answer questions on this forum, strongly suggests, nay, definitely suggests that neither side can speak the Queens English. Only us Irish kan.....................
