My friend is freaking out cuz she's been having her period for two weeks but they usually only happen for no more than one week. Does anybody recognize this as symptoms for something? Should she be worried?

Your friend needs to go to see a Gyn. Bleeding for longer than a week is not normal and can be caused by many problems from hormonal imbalance to something more serious like cancer (one of my friends had that).

Have your friend see her OB she may need to be put on birth controll to help regulate her. If this problem prosists then she may have a problem. She could have an infection in her Uterus. That happened to me once. But i was having almost nonstop periods for about 6 months. I would have my period 7-10 days be off 1-2 then start all over again. The infection can be caused if one month your body does not release everything it should .

If this is not normal for her, she should see her OBGYN. This person will be able to tell what is wrong. Stress can cause abnormal bleeding. If she is taking the pill and not taking it correctly, there could be something wrong. Have her make an appointment today.

This sounds weird, but it's very normal to have an irregular period esspecially within the first two years or so.

It happens some times as her body's cycle changes. If she's really freaked out she can see the doctor.
