I've heard nothing helps. But I used the Bath & Body Body Butters and I didn't get any stretch marks...so go figure.

Palmers Cocoa Butter look at the label it will have a pregnant women on it, the more moisturized you keep your skin the better it will stretch without scarring, you should use it everyday, like after your shower, more if you want, it will not get rid of ones you already have but will help with not getting new ones or it will help with them not getting so big! Good Luck!!

Nothing will protect your skin from stretch marks.... sometimes they are hormonally triggered, and everyone is different.
For instance, at 4 months my sister (age 21) woke-up on emorning with stretch marks all over her boobs in a starburst around her nipple. By the time she delivered she had stretch marks on the back of her arms, back of her legs, her entire stomach, and boobs... and they are wide and very noticable. She used cocoa butter and vitamin E oil everyday.... it didn't help.
I (age 28) used cocoa butter, and only got a tiny strtech mark on each boob, and one where by belly ring is. And, my baby was 2 pounds bigger than hers were.
Good luck... all you can do is try to keep the skin elastic... no guarantees.

A friend of mine swears by pure vitamin E oil rubbed on the belly each night after a good shower. She did this each night and didn't have any marks on her belly til they had to do a emergency C section at the last minute.
Ive also heard good things about cocoa butter for stretch marks making them fade and such.

My mother says to use Mineral Oil. She says to definitely not use baby oil because something about it actually causing stretch marks to be worse.
I use Palmers Cocoa Butter balm (it's in a tub and very thick but melts onto your skin and smells pretty good too.)
I don't know if it really will prevent them or not but it definitely keeps my skin from itching due to the stretching.

They don't work. You have the disposition in your genes, also depends on how much weight you gain. I used just about everything out there when I was pregnant w/ my first, still got TONS of stretch marks. After you get them, use Stri-Vectin SD; this works to fade them and reduce their appearance.
