I would look at it this way - 'beautiful people' are more attractive to the general public (or at least have a larger attraction rate to the general public). Given this... these attractive people are tempted by others who show their interest. This intrest leads to further exploration of one another. This combined with thier lack of being discreet leads to conflict. Conflict of such nature typically leads to divorce.
So... Yes... i think they would have a higher rate.

I don't know whether beauty is responsible for divorces. Of course, I can only assume that you have physical beauty in mind. If so, then I would say that beauty is not the culprit. Rather, I think incompatibility or egoism or selfishness wrecks marriages. I also wonder whether some people just lack the know-how when it comes to love. That is, it appears that some people just do not know how to love.

Given the nature of the human animal, beautiful people have relished the attention and compliments of others who did not know them personally; only their beauty was obvious, but, for better or worse, that was enough. They have had - and as long as the beauty lasts, will continue to have - many options. Less physically attractive people are, on the whole, likely to accept less, and will realize that they are not in a position to be altogether choosy. They are therefore more likely to be satisfied with what they have. The beautiful person may feel that in a less-than-totally-successful marriage (i.e., virtually any marriage), he or she will do better with a new partner.

I guess it depends on whether the person is beautiful on the inside or the outside. The nicest people I know, and the most successfully married, are kind, funny, friendly, and warm, but aren't particularly beautiful in the traditional sense, but there again, what is beautiful? The most beautiful thing I have ever known was my little dog - oh and my divorce certificate!
Cheers

Since all people are beautiful and only people get married then only the beautiful can get divorced.

Anyone can get a divorce. I did and we had a beautiful family. It has much more to do with integrity, love & dedication to the relationship. There are always tough times in any marriage.

My (soon-to-be)ex-wife was fairly attractive and VERY insecure.
She craved attention outside of the mariage and spurned it from within the marriage. She eventually left us (the kids and I), slept around with a couple of guys, and is divorcing me as I type.
I have been told many times that I am attractive (I really don't see it, so I'm quite suspect about this ...), and I have been propositioned many times. Despite an obviously failing marriage, I politely spurned these come-ons, because I was married.
My conclusion?
*Looks are fun.
*Character counts!
