Yes, the Treaty of Tripoli DOES have something to do with it. It's considered an official and early denial by the government that the founders of said government had any religious intentions whatsoever. That there have been many people since trying to pervert that denial doesn't change the fact that that was the ideal at the very start- no religious basis for the U.S. government. Ideas concerning liberty and equality in the west are frankly based on Greek and Roman pagan ideals, not christianity. That's exactly why the French Revolution set out to abolish christianity and fostered official images drawn from western pagan antiquity. That's also why our public buildings for two centuries were based on Greek and Roman models. THAT is the REAL truth. The values of this country were founded on the values of pagan classical antiquity.

As soon as you get rich, your opinion will matter. Unfortunately, until that day comes we are stuck, because nobody cares what the common citizen wants anymore, it is all about the wealthy here.
It is far from fair, but it the world we live in. If you want to matter, you better have lots of money or no one in power will even acknowledge your existence.
I do agree with you that it sucks, and being part of the working class myself, I know exactly how you feel. I just don't think our leaders care about us, and they make it more and more obvious with every move they make.

Blame it on the government, free trade, the ridiculously over-paid CEOs and the low pride and morale in school and workplace. Cheers.

it used to be that customers were given the best possible service now the majority of companies hire people who don't care because they have hired people outside the U.S. to solve problems which they know nothing about.
