Actually, baron_von_party is talkin' out his a**.
Cycle world last year voted the Buell as the best handling bike in the world! Being as they do this for a living, and have the chance to ride more types/brands of bike than probably anyone here, I'd say their opinion counts more than some nobody spoutin' off.

Sure- an experienced rider on an R6, Gixxer, ZX-6R, Duc 749, etc. The differences between bikes are miniscule compared to the differences in rider skill.

But there is a reason Buells never win any AMA races, primarily the weight of a huge freakin' Harley V-twin! A smaller, lighter, faster bike would cut right through a Buell in the corners.

it isnt the machine 100%. a good chunk comes from the rider. if the buell rider is inexperienced, he wont be able to cause much of any1 that knows somewhat of what he's doing to break a sweat.
there's a guy at deal's gap that haunts the dragon. he rides a yellow gold wing. that dude will easily smoke a squid on a rocket, and does so quite often.
if the dude has experience to be able to push the bike to the limits, it would be a fun ride to watch.

they are not up to par with the jap bikes.they are really low
on top end speed.they have nice torque but that only gets
you so far.everytime i see a rider on a buell he doesn't make
eye contact because he knows he can not contend with a
real super bike.i see it all the time.i would race one any time.

Which Buell?...then again it doesn't really matter. It's not the machine...it's the rider!

Yes, most anybody can keep up with a Byou-hell in the mountain roads. They are ill-designed and poorly powered stinking pieces of crud. An out of practice 60 yr old duffer should be able to take one on with a Yamaha 450 with a plug wire pulled.

That is a really subjective question.
I would say probably not but it depends mostly on the rider and who and what he is competing against.
