A circle has one side, even though that might be counterintuitive. It's a 2-dimensional object in geometry, so you might think it has a front and back. But think of a square (another 2-dimensional object); it has four sides. A triangle has three sides. A circle has one. Front, back, inside, and outside are not geometry terms.

So what is the side of a circle? If you think of the circle as a disk then it it has an up-side and a down-side. If you think of it as a curve, then it has an inside and an outside. If you think of it as the limit of an n-sided regular polygon, then one can justify the answer that the circle has infinitely many infinitesimal sides. Our conclusion:
the question, "How many sides does a circle have?", is too ambiguous to have a definite answer.
Perhaps the appropriate response is "there is no natural way of saying what the side of a circle is."

Actually a circle is a very special geometrical figure ... it can be defined as an infinity of points equally spaced (the radius) from an central point called the center of the circle. To put it another way you could say that a circle has an infinity of sides since each point is one side. In the same category of "un-sided" geometrical shapes: parabolas, hyperbolas and ellipses.

the perfect circle has 1 side. A grapical representation (On a computer) ie pixelated has anything from about 6 to an infinite number. The closer towards infinite the circle is the smoother it looks.

If a triangle has 3 and a rectangle has 4 then the simple answer is that a circle has one curved 'side' - however since it IS a circle it doesnt make sense to ask if it has sides since that seems to define an edge - forming only part of a shape.

a circle has an infinite number of sides. one may say that a circle has an inside and an outside but these are just descriptions of the way in which a circle divides the area in a plane. "inside" and "outside" do not refer to a specific side in geometry.
