Looking at the questions as its written, I would think that most Patriotic Americans would want to alleviate terror/disaster at home.

The question says nothing about the means and mechanisms of terror (which had a meaning prior to the war against it). The question asks where you would fight terror.

Different locations demand different solutions. I bet most of Louisiana was pretty scared last year following the hurricane.

If I were a proud American, I'd probably start addressing the problems at home, before attempting to address those overseas.

I'm somewhat baffled by the willingness with which many Americans have redefined the word 'terror'. It refers to fear, unlamented, bubbling to the surface, kick you in the teeth fear.

It does not, nor will it ever adequately describe a people, a military movement, guerilla tactics, or the political strategy preferred by militant groups in the Middle East.

A whole segment of American society willing to utilize the most trivial terms to describe important political and social global circumstances, activities, and movements. Absolutely incredible.

So what you are implying is the current administration has done such a poor job of protecting our borders, that plane loads of terrorists are going to be free to fly over here and start the fight.

Another good reason to support the Democrats, at least they are trying to follow the 9/11 commission recommendations.

I don't think a bunch of terrorists are going to deploy in the US to fight us on a day to day basis, lets be reasonable here. And we are fighting an insurgency in Iraq, not terrorists. Everyone that dislikes the US is not a terrorist. The people causing trouble in Iraq want control of that country, that's it. It's not like they would come over here and fight us, that's ridiculous.

Amazing that you have the "brilliance" to believe that only Middle Eastern countries produce terrorists. I guess the whole 1997 Oklahoma bombing was just a publicity stunt, eh?

Does it make you feel better that the 35,000 innocent civilians that were slaughtered in the last year were Iraqis? Or that the 3,000 plus Americans that we sent to be slaughtered were killed in Iraq rather than the US? Bogus rationalization!

I'll rather fight terrorism by examining the root causes of it because obviously bombing people into submission doesn't work !

Well, i think if you educate a person, then you have fought terror and won the fight. so i say I can fight terror wherever I am.

That is such a dumb question. W has you believing that if we don't fight them "there" then we will have to fight them here. So he has you convinced that "the terrorists" can't get on a plane, and fly here, bypassing all those "terrorist" countries? The war on terror can and may exist even if all the "terrorists" in those countries disappear. Your thinking is so naive.

Washington DC. GWB has been maintaining a level of fear in this country since 9/11. A terrorist's best tool is fear. That and propaganda (bushaganda in this case).
