Well today here on Answers the Constitution has been likened to a Suicide Pact.

I know the source of that question is a book by an activist Judge who thinks the rights granted by the Constitution should be dropped whenever the country is under attack (or the President thinks it's under attack), lest we be destroyed by our ideals. Pure bunk.

But this is a special hard-core ultra Red-Stater concept, and I do not think it has wide support unless it is couched in terms of "giving rights to terrorists" - then (sigh) Red Staters are all for it and all against those ridiculous liberal Constitutional concepts.

Trying to find you question or point. There is not a Conservative in the Country that would not say that the Constitution is the foundation of freedom.

The Constitution is not liberal or conservative. If it were there would not be a two-party system in this country. All we would have is the Democrats.

I live in a red state and I believe the Constitution is the foundation of American freedom.

Don't make generalizations. They make you look ignorant.

Why would a baseball fan (I assume that's who a Reds Stater is...he probably pulls for Cincinnati) care?

Seriously though, you missed the truth by one lower case letter. It's the Liberal foundation of American freedoms, meaning Liberalism as it is classically defined...not the vapid blatherings of today's liberals, who would appear as alien as Klingons to the Eighteenth Century variety.
