The egg only lives 12-24 hours but there is always a slight possiblity of ovulating twice. If you do ovulate twice it would happen within 24 hours of the first ovulation.

It worries me that you say "after the egg is felt in the pelvic." You can't feel ovulation or the egg inside your pelvis. It dies inside the fallopian tube if it isn't fertilized.

Day 16-20, if you ovulate on day 14, is too late to get pregnant. The egg is dead by then.

For the egg to be fertilized. sperm must be present in the body around the time you release an egg. Although this may sound easy to achieve, the egg only lives for 24 hours or less after it is released, and your partner sperm can only survive for a few days.

The egg usually dies within a day or 2. But, there is no harm in trying. Next month, try to have sex before and during the time you expect to ovulate.
