You are entirely mistaken. It is true however that German Americans formed themselves into something which they called the BUND or the AMERICAN BUND and held Nazi style parades.

As far as I know the US.gov of the 1930s was busy dealing with the NEW DEAL getting workers back to work by huge gov financed constructions.

By the late 30s it was obvious to everyone, UK and USA that there was going to be a war. The Americans wanted to stay out of the war when it came and who can blame them for that.

USA was attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy at Pearl Harbor on c22nd November 1941. At which point the US.gov declared war on Japan. Foolishly, Adolf Hitler declared war on the USA possibly on the same day or very soon thereafter. Naturally the Americans responded and went immediately to work building up their armed forces and creating the Military Industrial Complex which USA still has today.

In regard to financing the Nazis, it is much more likely that this was done during the war by the Swiss Banks, who were known to be in receipt of Nazi gold stolen from the very mouths of the Jews they murdered, turned into ingots and stashed in Swiss Banks.

In what ways? Clearly during most of the 1930's the United States and other nations like Britain and France had both diplomatic and economic relationships with Nazi Germany. But I find it unlikely that we financed the Nazi regime and allowed it to take power. Two reasons: The Great Depression and Isolationism.

Many American corporations and individuals did business with Nazi Germany during the 1930s. Among them were IBM, Ford Motor Company, and Prescott Bush (Grandfather of the current president).

Both Henry Ford and Charles Lindbergh received Germany's highest Civilian honor for work they did in the US for Germany.

Prescott Bush even did business with the Nazis into the 40s AFTER Germany declared war on the US.

no, we were suffering a depression, we were not financing anybody. We were isolationists in the 1930's. The nazi's gained power because of hyper inflation that made the mark nearly worthless. They exploited the anxiety of the people and were able to establish power through popular uprising against the Kaiser and established a election empowering hitler.

During the 1930s America was in the middle of the Great Depression. We could hardly feed our own people, there is no way we financed Nazis. I don't know who is telling you this garbage, but never listen to them again.

Some did, but you need to be careful how you interpret that. There were many rich people that invested in the Nazi party, and I would wager that 98% of them did not know what they were up to until it was too late.
