No, taking birth control pills cannot harm the baby. Remember that the hormones that are present in birth control pills are the same that circulate through your body during pregnancy. Birth control pills are designed to simulate pregnancy so that ovulation does not occur. So don't worry that you have done anything to harm your fetus. Accidental pregnancy while taking birth control pills is a very common occurrence.

So long as you stop as soon as you know it should be fine. I had this same problem. It caused extra cramping for me (that's what the doc said). They told me it didn't hurt the baby, just to make sure and not take anymore. Good luck!

It is unlikely that taking the pill during early pregnancy will increase the risk of defects in the fetus. However, the likelihood of tubal pregnancy is greater if you become pregnant while taking the progestin-only pill.

it was proven in studies that takin birthcontroll while you are pregnant can cause birth defects. If you accidentally took it before you knew you were pregnant, it should be ok in the beginning. But you should still inform your doctor and get checked if necessary, just to make sure.

No, as long as you stopped taking it as soon as you found out. This happens a lot. The female hormones in birth control will cause a boy baby's sex organs to develop abnormally, but not usually until after 14 weeks gestation.

I have had 2 very healthy baby boys, and I was taking birth control pills when I got pregnant with both of them.
You need to stop when you find out that you're pregnant, but I was almost 12 weeks pregnant with my 2nd son when I found out.

If you are referring to Birth Control pills, yes, it may hurt the baby. Your doctor will help you with these questions and what might possibly be the resulting damage or danger to the unborn child (if any).

Birth control generally changes your hormonal balance to make your body think it;s pregenant. You obviously can;t get pregnant when you're already pregnant so this is how it works. I'd say that it's probably not harmful, however, I'd give your doctor a call asap

Yes, it can if you used it for a long time during the pregnancy, but most women recognize that they're pregnant and stop before any damage is done.

My doctor has said that it doesn't harm the baby. I wouldn't continue taking after you have a positive pregnancy test though.
