why do people judge a book by its cover?

Because its the most obvious and easiest choice.
To judge someone based on their looks, doesn't take much time.
You don't have to talk to the person, have a conversation with them or anything further than just looking at them.
So people dont want to take the time and others are just ignorant.

some people are just to lazy to take the time to look past the cover of both a book and a person.

people judge people by how they look because most of the time they were brought up that if someone didnt look like they did that was wrong and i think that is stupid i think all people are equal and deserve a fair chance and most people dont get it just because they dress a different way or listen to different music if you are one of those people who judge people by the way they look on a normal basis then you need to wake up and grow up : )

some people judge on first impression only without getting to know the person first...that's just how some people are. I used to be like that but I've learned that first impressions sometimes aren't that reliable, so I try to get to know the person before I come to any conclusion about them.

well i think that is just human nature ever body has done it
looking at a person and thank they know what that person is like .. ever one want to know who this person is before
they meet them so that persons looks put the in a group
like if you see a person with baggy-e pants on and a Du rag they think o their a hood rat i really don't thank people can help it

the cover attracts,but the smart person opens the book to see what's inside.of course,the world is full of fools.

it is built into human brains to do that. people are attracted to better looking people in general. this is subconcious and does not mean someone is shallow. they are shallow, however, if they fail to realize looks arent actually telling you everything
