Wasn't the sodomy law in Texas struck down?

The sodomy law in Texas was indeed struck down, but only because it specified that the sodomy act was illegal when between two people of the same sex. A sodomy law was upheld not long before this case in Georgia because sodomy between any two people was illegal.

And yes, I can believe that co-habitation is considered a criminal act, and I do indeed find it somewhat scary. However, I'm comforted to know that most of those types of laws (old ones still on the books) are no longer enforced.

First of all, I think that's gonna make parents take the sex offender thing less seriously. Think about it. A lot of teens are doing that, and if all of them have to register as sex offenders, I think there will probably be more people who are sex offenders for something like that than people who are sex offenders for molesting little kids. Then if a REAL sex offender moves somewhere, when the parents find out there's a sex offender living near them they're probably just gonna be like, "Oh, it's probably just another teen girl who took a nude photo of herself, no biggie". Can you imagine? Secondly, come on. All that punishment just for taking a nude photo of yourself? Doesn't the Bill of Rights say no cruel and unusual punishment? It's funny how there are people who have murdered someone and they just get a slap on the wrist, and yet if a little 13 year old girl takes a nude picture of herself, she has to spend all those years in jail and register as a sex offender. It's just wrong. Yes, there should be some sort of punishment, like a fine, and the boys sending the pictures around without their permission should definitely be punished, but making them sex offenders is taking it way too far. So, I don't think ANYTHING good will come out of making them register as sex offenders.

There are several issues to deal with in your question. The obvious question has not been addressed by anybody yet, the personal opinion of cohabitation. However, first I need to define sex crime before I can answer it. If we consider sex crime to mean the laws of man, being able to charge a citizen with criminal activity, then I do not personally consider cohabitation to be a criminally punishable event. If the laws of the land list cohabitation to be a criminal event, then as a lawyer, I would be able to prosecute the cohabiting parties as sexual criminals in order to uphold the law of the land.
If we are thinking about the laws of God and His take on cohabitation, then we are in an entirely different realm. I think it is clear that God intended His children to marry, and thus live as husband and wife in order to establish family units for the benefit of all mankind in the present and in the future. The home and family become the training ground for all people to learn the rules of civilized and righteous conduct. Cohabitation is contrary to that set of rules and would be viewed as a sexual sin and thus a spiritual crime.
I hope that clarifies the issue somewhat.

There are a lot of blue book laws. That are still in the books but not enforced. Massachusetts had the same co-habitation laws in their books. Interesting enough Massachusetts doesn't recognize common-law marriages. Might be why they keep it on the books.

My state still has old laws in the statutes that are unConstitutional. The legislature just often forgets to repeal these laws. If they don't attempt to enforce them, there really is no problem, so actually it's not "scary" at all.
