(I hate regular Theater,s) I like the way at a Drive In you can set in the back of a truck or SUV and have a picnic and take what you want to drink in and just have a good time with the family!
I guess I am lucky we still have one close to home.

i'm stricken by a wave of nostalgia. thx for a great "?" !
no matter what was playing, a friday or saturday night @ the drive-in! aaahhhh!!!!
partying with friends, doing a bit more than holding hands in the secretive confines of your car, having a few brewskis, intermissions... car-hopping w/ your other friends.
if you wanted to actually HEAR the movie, you could without a bunch of rude people yammering away, cell phones ringing, babies crying, etc (except for the poor sound quality afforded by those tinny speakers). no place like it on earth for so many reasons! i've been to 3 indoor theaters in the last 25 years, and will never go back.

Drive-In's are cool. I went every weekend (almost) from like age 16 to 21. Fun stuff. Back in the day you could drink (beer) and smoke (whatever).

I still go now 2 or 3 time a year with my family (kids' movies these days). It's a bargain.

Check the link for locations and other fun info. There are 2 near me - lucky.

Yes! I love to go to Drive ins. There are 2 close to where we live. My son thinks it is so neat! Where else can you get a fresh grilled hamburger and a coke for $2 bucks!

Yes........It was sometime back in the 1980's with my husband. We had a blast.........Too bad most of them are gone :( Have a great day.....P.S. Since I'm so old..........I'll give you youngin's a little something to laugh at. When I was dating my husband, I was just 17....and my mother would not allow me to go to the drive-in movies.....she called them "Passion Pits"...we went after we were married. Thought you'd get a kick out of what my mom called drive-in movies.........LOL, hahahaha!

Yes. Sadly, there aren't many of them left. What fun to sit in your car in your 'comfy' clothes and watch a movie and laugh and joke with your family. Those were the days.

Yes, when I was younger in New Jersey. They don't have them anymore. I loved it-packing the whole family in the station wagon and going to the movies. I saw Grease in the drive in! what memories.........
