I'm driving out in a couple of days for my first trip there. I already have the hotel, gas, and food covered. I don't plan on going to any shows unless they are free. I was just wondering how much I should bring to gamble with. I was thinking about 400 bucks. What do you guys think?

400 will be fine as long as you are not a high roller. Remember that Vegas is a town of alot of giveaways and cheap options. You cna find good breakfast buffets for less then 5$ and dinner buffets for around 10 so eating should never be a problem. All depends on how much you are going to gamble, because if you are a risky gambler then 400 can go in a heartbeat.

Bring what your budget will allow but it is all about pacing yourself and matching your bankroll to your gambling.

You should play games that you understand and have at least some shot of winning at...or at least not losing it all in short order. This means staying away from slot machines and playing games where you get to make decisions. Blackjack and video poker immediately come to mind assuming you have a grasp of basic strategy. Depending on the time put into gambling you should be playing at $5 BJ tables and .25 video poker max coin.

If you really want to make your money last and have an opportunity to improve your stake, live poker is the way to go. you just need to be patient Contrary to what you may see on TV...real casino poker can be grinding and boring at times.

$5k/nt for a collection is pushing it, even for somebody making $150k/year. i could attempt to discover something it is interior the $1500/nt selection. while you're splitting it, it may not be so undesirable, yet you're dropping your money spending it on the hands - the suites there are way overpriced whilst in comparison with what you may get someplace else on the city. A hands place penthouse could be properly worth it, however the parable Suites on the hands are purely hype for those that watch too many movies approximately Vegas. The hands isn't a 5-star lodge by using any definition and in no way would be. heavily wealthy people who drop 5 figures on lodge rooms oftentimes worldwide huge would not be caught lifeless in a collection on the hands. in case you % to get greater on your money than purely 15 plasma TVs putting from the ceiling and loose passes to ghostbar, spend your money at Skylofts, Wynn/Encore, Bellagio, or Mandarin Oriental the place you will actually get some service to boot to the bells and whistles.

Take these four things: how much you want to spend on entertainment (shows, clubs, girls/guys), food, shopping, & gambling. Total it. and bring it with you, and possibly keep an extra 5-10% of it somewhere safe as "emergency money" in case you run out for..the taxi back to the airport. good luck. Have fun..don't go broke. remember as pretty as Vegas is..every single blinky light bulb..was paid for by a sucker...and i'm gonna be one of them next month.

In my experience I find it best to not bring anymore than I am willing to lose. Vegas is designed to take your money and the odds of you winning big are pretty slim. If you have $400 dollars that you are willing to put on the line then that should be more than enough to get you through the weekend.

Good luck and have fun!!!

Depends on what you'r playing...I usually do $200 to $250 per day. I usually have $600 to $800 available for 3 days! I play slots, but my husband plays Texas Hold-Em and he likes to take $1000 when possible......we also include our food in the above totals.....the room is usually paid for before we get there.

It depends on how much you can afford to lose. Assume you will lose every dollar you bring, and decide how much money is worth the entertainment of gambling.

Bring whatever you will feel comfortable losing, as you will inevitably lose all you bring - unless you are one of the very, very few that can stop before it's all gone.
