Me and my two friends have been really tight for the last 10 years. Well, my friend John didnt congratulate our friend Ron on the birth of his baby daughter. He sent a text message out to 21 people and John was the only one who didnt respond. Ron feels kinda hurt by this. No, he is hurt. Is my friend jealous cause he is unmarried and miserable? Its been 2 weeks and no congrats yet. No phone call, nothing. Is my friend a hater? He did this the last time he had a baby which was 2 years ago? Is he not a real friend? Should I just leave it alone?

I'd leave it alone and stay out of it. There could be many reasons why one friend didn't congratulate the other. Maybe to him it's no big deal, after all there are alot of people that don't get thrilled about births or anything else. Maybe as close as you are there's something you don't know about him, he could be sterile or maybe an ex girlfriend had an abortion or miscarriage or even had a baby and she took off and he doesn't know where they are. Don't be to quick to judge, it could be any reason, but it's his business how he thinks and reacts to things.

He may be jealous because he is unmarried and miserable. There is nothing wrong with this. Everybody feels jealous and it cannot be controlled. Maybe there's some sort of rift between John and Ron that you don't know about. I don't think you should worry about it. It is John and Ron's problem, not yours.

I think you should Say something to him, not ell but how about just mention to him that your other friend is hurt but your sure something came up cause you know he wouldn't hurt him intentionally, ask him is there something wrong or something you can help him with something, at least find out why he is doing that and maybe it will make you feel better or maybe he don't realize that it hurt the other friend and you might can get it all worked out, so yes my thoughts are yes in a nice way, your friends are lucky to have a friend like you that cares' I am jealous(wink) g-luck let me know how it works out

Maybe he really just doesnt know what to say, some people are just not good with expressing things like that. I dont think yelling will get anyone anywhere though. Maybe he thinks that they need their time to get used to a new baby, and so he's backing off.
Or then again maybe hes just being a jerk, people are that way sometimes for absolutely no reason.

i think you should let Ron speak up to John. It's not your place. And have you ever considered how John feels being unmarried and without kids. Maybe it hurts him to see others so happy, maybe you & Ron should be there more for him. and if ron AND john are your friends...why dont you stick up for John. Do you really know what's going on in his life???

You should mind your own business and let the friend with hurt feelings deal with it if they feel the need.
Not all people go ga,ga over babies... maybe he is just a rude person, maybe he didn't think that not sending he congratulations was a big deal.
just stay out of it and you will stay friends with both of them.

sometime people don't recieve texts or have texts blocked. Try calling him and letting him no, if he says he already does know. Then let him be, there is no reason for yelling at him, he may have his own issues, and thoes issues are his not yours. You would feel terrible if he had a serious problem or depression and then you yelled at him.

You might leave it alone for a while. you don't know if he somehow missed the text. Maybe bring it up asking if he got it and tell him your friend is hurt that he didnt acknowledge the birth, let alone congratulate, just be careful when talking to him.

If he is not responding because he is jealous then he is a crappy friend...sometimes you have to put your own problems aside and be happy for the people who are important to you.
I would tell him you think its crappy he doesnt feel it neccissary to congradulate your other friend, then i would leave it alone.
I also wouldnt expect much from that friend in the future he is definately more concerned with himself than others

I would just leave it alone. He's an adult, maybe their's something going on between the two that you don't know about.
