You can google "reverse phone." Youll get a list of sites that will allow you to put the number in. Some work better than others.

That happens to me everyone once and awhile. Mostly it happens to me if I was using two lines on my cell after I hang up on one to answer another line and talk for a bit then hang up, the other line automatically calls your phone back in case anyone important was on that line and it typically shows up as unknown.

Ring your provider straight after the call and say you need to log the last call as a nusiance call, they won't tell you the number, but they will bar it from your phone after a certain amount of logs.

ask your provider to investigate. The police are also obliged to get involved if you ask them to. If you receive more than one unwanted call from the same number this constitutes harassment and is a criminal offence.

the best thing to do is to go to your local phone shop from your network (o2, or vodaphone etc.) and ask them if they can tell you, or if they can ban that number from phoning you. Hope that helped...

ring back and if it goes to voicemail leave a message saying you have or will contact police. if you cannot ring back, next time you answer it say you have contacted police.
