I'm trying to get pregnant, but I don't think I can with my periods doing flip flops! They've been this way since I was 12 yrs. old. Can I get pregnant or what?

First of all, no - it's not normal to go 6 months without having a period. And it's going to be very difficult for you to get pregnant if you're only ovulating twice a year (if in fact you're even having ovulatory cycles). Have you ever been investigated for PCOS? It's relatively common, and causes irregular periods, and can also cause acne, excess bodily hair, and weight gain. My periods have always been very irregular as well, going up to 6 months without anything, and it's due to PCOS.

That is not normal and you should have already went to the doctor a long time ago. You are suppose to only have 1 peroid a month if you have more then one or none at all you should go see a doctor

Go to the doc, you most likely have PCOS, I went 5 months without my period so the doc gave me progesterone to make my period come, then he game me clomid to help ovulate, which I did as well, I didn't get pregnant but now my periods are coming every month and i am ovulating as well, so look into it.

You probably have polycystic ovarian syndrome. This condition causes you not to ovulate so you do not have a period. Your Ob can put you on clomine it will help you ovulate and increase your chances of concieving. Your best bet would probably seek a fertility doctor.

It's not impossible, but you and your partner should be referred to a fertility clinic for a thorough workup that will allow the doctors there to help you. Talk with your family doctor or your GYN to get that referral.
