I have tried all most every brand. I have tried various sizes. I was told that maybe I don't put it in far enough but that didn't help either. Anyone else always leak when using a tampon? Any tips?

Tampons don't leak when they're placed correctly.

Mine don't leak because I have found the correct way to put it in there.
After inserting it, I place my finger in to the first joint as I pull the tampon down slowly until I can feel the end of the tampon with my finger. It's in correct position.

Yeah I have the same problem sometimes. Try buying the super size tampons and use them with a panty liner or a light maxi pad to catch the leaks. You just have a heavy flow, no biggie. Talk to your doctor and ask if they think maybe you should go on a birth control pill; that can help control your period, make it more regular, less heavy and it can help lighten cramps too.

If you have tried higher absorbancy, different brands and changing the tampon more frequently then you are all out of options. You'll just have to use a tampon and a pad and hope that your flow decreases soon.

This is pretty common -- it's what pantyliners are for! To help prevent a lot of leakage, try changing the tampon more often (before it gets full and starts to leak), and make sure you use a tampon of the right absorbency for your cycle (super, regular, e.g.).

Yes, usually I have at least three days of a very heavy flow. I have to use both a tampon and a pad. I don't think it is any thing to worry about unless you need to change tampons approx. every hour or if you are passing apple or orange size clots.

You probably need to adjust the angle. If you read the instructions carefully, the tampon should be placed towards your lower back. Hope that helps. If all else fails then just get pantiliners. Theyre really small, thin and inexpensive, and should be able to control leaks.

Are you using Super Plus? Maybe your flow is too heavy for the size. Have you talked to your doctor about it yet to see what he/she has to say about it? You may just be one of those women that has an extremely heavy flow (my mother has that same problem, even while wearing super plus, she still has to wear a panty liner). What about birth control? There are some types out there that can make you have a lighter flow, and some that can make you only have a period for three or four days. My suggestion would be to talk to your doctor about it first. Good luck.

Leaking when you have a tampon in is normal. just wear a panty liner too so it doesnt get on your underwear. You should probably use a super and as long as you cant feel it while it's in, it is in far enough.

perchance you're actually not puting the tampons interior the the terrific option way. in case you do not experience any discomfort ( wich might ensue in case you place the tampon in te incorrect way then that's recommended to seek for suggestion from a doctor. yet notwithstanding if in case you have been leaving them in too long then the blood might have overflowed the tampon so it leaks. there is not something incorrect with te tampon. that's in all probability purely the variety you utilize it. sturdy success with something of your era. wish I helped

I have that problem too. Heavy flow. I use Tampax Pearl super plus absorbancy as well as a panty liner to catch in case I can't get to a bathroom in time. With the Pearl, it has an absorbant cord, so you can sometimes tell when you are about to start leaking and head to a bathroom right away.
