American egotism tends to resolve around a concept of personal exceptional-ism, while British egotism tends to revolve around a sense of cultural superiority. They're both partly correct and partly incorrect.

It is the same. Other than Americans are less reserved and some are post dumb about politics, I think both Brits and USA people are about equal in arrogance or snootyness. There are nice people and prats on both sides of the pond.
As far as Candians.... that is for another response.

No it isn't. As Americans we only care to know and understand the world as we see it. Brits tend to have a broader sense of the world around them and they are more familiar and acclimated with other societies and cultures. The average Brit has probably been to Germany and France more often than the average American has been to Canada or Mexico. Even worse, there are too many Americans who can't even find Canada or Mexico on a globe.

Americans are not arrogant , not all of them, Brits have not all got upturned noses or stiff upper lips, only the English!

well ive only met a couple of americans and they were lovely.
as for us british people, if u come from where i come from (staffordshire), the last thing we have is turned up noses, if they were any more crooked they'd be touchin our chins lol
