Since they ran on "hate Bush" as their issue, the proposal to require any expenditure to be balanced out by a similar cut in an existing entitlement budget or a tax increase is all that comes to mind.
Unfortunately for us, democrats have never, ever reduced an entitlement in their glorious history, so this must mean RAISE TAXES!

If I remember correctly the Blues ran on a basic platform of "We are not RED.
So the matching proposal would be to offer sanctuary and wittiness protection to any RedsStater that escapes the Red Party.

Democrat proposals: Tax the rich--tax the almost rich--tax the upper middle class--tax the middle class--tax anyone who wants to work--do not tax illegals, welfare abusers, government employees or any rich democrats.

lowered rates for prescription drugs, change of direction in Iraq (bush has admitted failure, and Rumsfeld resigned) lower student loan rates...sorry, that's more than one. Can you name ANYTHING the 109th congress accomplished in the last 2 years?
