Girls......what do you really look for in a man?

We've all the seen the interviews in the magazines with women who say they are looking for Mr. Right......"Looks are not important....I love a man who is a gentleman and has a great sense of humour"......I'm not always convinced this is the case........what do women really look for in a man.......

1. Sense of humour... by far the most important thing to me!
2. Free spirited... because I am a free spirit and can not be with anyone who is too settled
3. Compassionate.... I do a lot of community work in developed countries around the world and expect my guy to have the same interest in helping those less fortunate
4. Gets on with my family and friends... important since my family means the world to me
5. Has passions... whether music (preferably), a sport, etc... passions make a guy interesting
6. Comfortable in his own skin... a guy's looks don't count as much as how well he carries himself and is secure in himself
7. Intelligent.... what's the use of being with someone if you can't engage in decent conversation
8. Artsy... I have a thing for creative types
9. As far as appearances go, I tend to be attracted to darker features, piercing eyes, scars and tattoos, genuine smile and height... though I would be no means exclude guys who do not possess these traits (my most serious relationship was with a guy who had a genuine smile, height and nothing else of the above)
10. That thing... you can't describe it, some people just have that special something about them that is impossible to pinpoint. It's that thing that can attract the most gorgeous girl to the ugliest, nerdiest guy, and can make her forget everything else on her little 'criteria' altogether

I've not had the best look with guys until i met my bf nearly a year ago. Everybody is looking for different things.

Anyone who says looks aren't important is lying. Everyone is attracted to some by what they look like, in many cases that's how subconsciously we choose if we are going to go over an talk to someone. But everyones idea of attractive is different. My bf says I'm pretty but i don't see it.

For me the most important thing is that i feel safe. I've gone through too much, lost people, been hurt by too many people. There is something about be cuddled up with him and feeling 100% safe.

He has to understand that i don't always need a reason to do what i do.

He has to be willing to put up with my PMS

He mustn't judge me. (This is also something i look for in friends)

The list could go on forever. The best thing to do is be yourself, that way when you do find someone, they know it's the real you they've met. That's a big one, honesty, that would be the one thing I'd say girls look for.

A guy that I am physically and mentally attracted to. I can't be with a guy who is stupid or it would just end up being sex, lol. Sad, but true. Each person is attracted to something different.
I don't want an alcoholic or a complete slob. One that for the most part lets me have my own way, but knows when to put his foot down and not let me walk all over him..because I wouldn't respect him and I can't love a man that I don't respect.
A guy that acts like a man and treats me like a woman, rather than being in a relationship with confused gender roles.
Every person likes and wants different things, though.

Looks do count but so does smarts. I like the sense of humor and the hot body. Gentleman thing is good In public but i also want someone who can also joke around at times too.

to be totally honest with you. Looks ARE NOT as important as other aspects of a man. I look for a good personality. A man who knows how to treat the ladies right, one who can make me laugh, and just one that's all around a good person. Of coarse you do have to be physically attracted to someone also but that's not what i look for in a man. The one thing I look for most though is he can't be a player or cheater!! He has to know how to take care of his girl and want to be in a long term relationship with her. Also they have to be HONEST!!

Smile a lot and don't do anything way to gross. Don't treat a girl like u don't care (that makes u look like every other boy that girls try to stay away from.) Try and look approachable and when u speak to a girl keep a soft voice and again smile! When a girl tells u a joke or something funny laugh softly and again SMILE! The key word here is SMILE!

i looked for and found a man who has a fantastic sense of humour,a sense of mischief,doesnt take himself seriously and most of all accepts me as i am and actively supports and loves me without condition or rules.looks fade with time but a great compassionate,sensitive and funny personality does not.however on the physical side i personally have always found eyes that hint at mischief and sparkle with laughter and a nice bum attractive (must look good in jeans!!!)

of course the looks is important, but the things is everybody think when u say the look is important you mean that the guy has to be this super beautiful gorgeous tahitian model or **** like that, NO, he just has to have the charateristics you like...sense of humor, some brain, hands that can hold you tightly and normal job. now you tell me why is that so hard to find?
