so, what do you think? if you would be waling on a street and a tourist would ask you something, would you rather answer a male or a female? Please, provide some solid sources, refferences, web resources if possible.
Waiting for YOUR response!

Thanks

It's common sense, women are less threatneing than men so course people prefer dealing with strange women over strange men.

I will make an assumption. I will assume that "waling" was meant to be "waiting". Then I will respond.

Your experiment is flawed. If you read it carefully you are asking ME what I would prefer to do. Then you ask me to site references, resources and so forth telling you why I feel that way.

I have no web site that describes how I would feel or react in this particular situation.

That said, I will tell you that as a heterosexual man I would much rather be in the company of a woman than another man. I have male friends but a wink and come hither look from a woman would entice me away.

So there is my response. Call it chemistry if you like.

males and females are both more responsive to women

Its human nature and common sense:

1. Woman are more likely to receptive to talk to or approach other women or openly gay men because
Most women are constantly being hit on by single guys even if they have bf and or married, if a man talks to them on the street a stranger they are on the defensive because a. if the guy is young and attractive, they are not looking to be hit on b if the guy is older man they are afraiding he's strange/weird a dirty old man. This is mainly because women are taught from an early age that they should not talk to strange men.

2. Men are trained and groomed to help/cooperate with women from an early age and also men are very interested in talking to women because of 1 above. Men in general do not feel they need to help another man on the street.

Interesting question but the example is not so great. I couldn't care less whether the person was a male or female in that circumstance. I would answer the same either way. I would also ask either one, if I were the tourist.
