is there a way to find out if someone just got married and if so how do i find out

Marriage licenses are a matter of public record. Go to your local courthouse and look, if its local. Otherwise, you should be able to find records of any courthouse on-line.
Another way would be to call the newpaper for the area.
On another note, I too have a beautiful lilac point Siamese mix. Smartest cat I've ever had.

check public records at your local city they would have had to file a license to be married.

the clerks office in the town where the couple were married should have all records.
