Actually in the 20's part of the 30's it was normal on film to sleep in the same bed, for movies to be open about sexuality and for women to dress scantilly. Women drank, smoke and did drugs on film. Women even owned and operated major businesses on film. But the The studios began being monitored for content and they tamed everything down.

It was normal, despite what people want you to believe. The Kinsey report (sorry if i misspelled it) gives us a good insight in the sexuality during those time periods. Sex is a strong drive and it does not change despite what people believe. We are highly sexual animals and we have changed very little over our existence.

between the 20's and 40's it wasn't like today and most girls were still virgins but after that it changed to where it wasn't that important.
