Is there a bus system you can use?

Some days when you need the car can you drive him to work and pick him up after work or can he carpool with someone a couple times a week? On the days when you don't have a car, take your child for a walk to the park, set up playdates with the neighborhood children or get into a play group. It's hard but with some planning you should be able to get use of his car or his mother's car a few days a week. Good Luck!

Well I can say we have been there done that for a time, when we did only have one car I would drive him to work 2 or 3 times per week so I could use the car & than pick him up, but if your car is older that may be too much wear & tear on it if his work is far.

You don’t mention where you live (country or city) and why you can’t walk or take the bus to where you want to go.

If you are looking for something to do with the baby, a lot of community centers have weekly mom & baby programs. Your baby is also old enough for an introduction to swimming class where you go into the water with them.

Or you could organize your own mom’s group where once a week you take turns hosting a lunch or coffee and everyone brings their babies over and mom’s get to talk and kids get to socialize and you get to meet your neighbours.

Maybe you can drive him to work and pick him up. I know how you feel, I also have a 10 month old. When she was younger, one of our cars was not working for about a month 1/2, I had to wait for him to get home to run errands, it really sucked. If he does not work to far away, drive him their and pick him up. Best of luck to you !
