Number of 2004 olympic medalists (102)
Number of internet users (205,327,000)
Number of Nobel prize winners (296)
Number of military forces stationed abroad (460,000)
Number or miles of roads (3.98 million miles)
Number of airports (14,858)
Number or amount of gold reserves ($157.88 billion)
We also have the highest health care costs
We consume more calories (most obese)
We have the most prisoners per capita (737 per 100,000)
We use the most oil (25% of the worlds annual supply)
We are first in the production of nuclear and geothermal energy.
We have the largest national debt
We have the largest trade deficit
We lead the world in total imports
We grant the most patents and produce the most energy
We are the most powerful country on this earth
There are still plenty of areas where we are not number 1 though... Which area were you referring to?
America does have it's good and bad points much like any other country on earth.

No. 1 at what? Economic power, maybe? The richest people in the world live in the USA... but I think Switzerland has been No.1 in the world for years, on quality of life (best services, safest, cleanest) and highest taxes, too...
But you must be sure, your country will always be the No.1 in the heart of all Americans.

Number one in the world for...?
I never thought for a minute that the US was No. 1, except for gun crimes.
Many countries in the world is number one for different things, depending on the country in question.
Ireland? England? Australia? Gambia? Nigeria? China? Phillippines? Cuba?
Out of the short list of countries I left you... for instance...Cuba is No. 1 for the quality of its medical training.
When was one single country No.1???
