I got my belly button pierced 3 months ago and when i got it done the guy said that there might be some crusty-ness when I went to clean it but that was okay because it was a sign I was healing.

But the thing is, that I haven't had any crusty-ness or anything. Does that mean it's not healing?
How long will it take for it to fully heal?

With a belly button healing is going to take a long time but every person is different. There might not be any crustiness now but there will soon. Bully button usually take about 6 months to a year to heal and that is what my piercer told me. I had my belly hurting for about a year until it finally healed. Wait and if it get gross looking like so to say puss. I promise you will be okay... just use some salt water (as hot as possible for you) and a shot glass. Put it over you belly button and let it stay there for about 2 min. This will help a lot of the puss and crustiness to be relieved. Anything you need to know more about take it to you peircer, they did it then you need to ask them as well. Also they will tell you that the salt water thing won't work but believe me it will.

You won't always have the "crusties" around it. That's just something they tell people to keep them from panicking if they do develope some "crusties".

You should do some research about it now. It's something you should have done before you got it done, but go ahead and do it now. You can find out good tips on keeping it clean and so forth and also how to tell if it's infected or not healing properly.

Navel rings can take anywhere from 6-8 months (on average) to heal. Sometimes it takes as long as a year.

You're fine. Just make sure to keep it clean. No crusties are a sign that you're doing a good job cleaning it. Be prepared for this, though... if you ever take out your belly button ring, it'll never close up. I got mine pierced when I was 15... which was 7 years ago and I still have a gnarly scar and am unable to put any jewelry through it.

Have you had any trouble with infection? I've had mine pierced twice the 1st time it got infected and hurt so bad I had to take it out. The 2nd time it seemed to be doing ok. Then after I had it for about two months I went into the ocean and this started an infection. I had to take it out again. It sounds like your piercing hasn't healed yet so if you go in the ocean I think you will have a high risk of it getting infected. If you decide to go in the ocean you might want to cover it with something to protect it from the sun and the ocean. If you have had problems with your piercing theres a saltwater spray by by H2ocean that helps. Going into the ocean isn't the same as using sea salt and water. The ocean has a lot more in it than that.

When I got mine done they told me the same thing and I only had a little crustiness in the first few days and they also told me it takes like 6 months for it to completely heal.

Well if it's giving you no pain, it's not red or inflammed or oozing green pus your good to go. Keep it clean and dry and make sure the skin is not embedded around the stud. Healing time varies and you should have been told upon having it done.
The next time you pierce anything, get info, read it , ask the person giving you a piercing questions and/or write it down, be responsible for your own body!

I had my belly button pierced for 5 years and it never fully healed. I had to take it out when I was pregnant and it closed shut. Just keep it clean and it will be fine.

depends on your body. mine took 9 months to heal, and when i moved the piece some times yellow creamy awful stuff would come out, some others just the crusty thing but i had a really bad healing.

if you move it and it doesn't hurt, and your skin around is not reddish, it probably healed already. keep washing it though as he told you

No that doesn't mean that it's not healing. I got mine done about two years ago and I didn't change mine until about a hlaf a year after i got it done just for the fact that i was afraid of it closing. But im sure you can change it within a few months.

Healing depends on each person, mine to this day sometimes is irratated, some days it acts as if it is healed. It should be truly healed by at least 3-6 months.
