Whitney- she owned it! Her voice could make you dance or cry. It was definately in her genes. I wish she could get back to those days- never thought I'd see her so junked. Never have cared much for Mariah, she's never had the "power" in her voice like Whitney, never owned it.

Whitney Houston, I never could stand Mariah Careys dolphin screech or whatever you want to call it, Mariah's voice sounds the same in every song. Whitney's song just seem more heart felt. Just my opinion though.

i think of Whitney has the greater proper voice. Whitney has the church up bringing and actually a cutting-edge from God. sure, Mariah can hit a intense word or 2 yet authentic making a music. it incredibly is Whitney toddler. palms down. Whitney can run circle around Mariah.

Whitney (before drugs and Bobby Brown). Better range, better control, better diction, better song choices, better attitude (back then) and her voice has more clarity and didn't sound like an screech owl calling it's mate like Mariah's does.
