How is your diet? I know poor diets can effect the chances of getting pregnant. It shouldn't be from the birth control because I'm pretty sure it should be out of your system by now. The longest I know it has taken to get pregnant after birth control was 6 months but you never know all people are different. I would either get a fertility test from the store and go from there or go to you doctor. They deal with fertility issues all the time. They would be the best person to get the information your looking for from.

I will second the recommendation of the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It is a very good book that helps you learn about your cycle. Every woman should read it.
Your cycle is different from every other woman's cycle and the online calculators could have you missing your actual ovulation.
Read the book and start keeping track of your cycles. You will learn what is going on with you guys.
I would also recommend getting married before having children.

If your cycles are regular, make sure to have sex frequently 2 weeks before you are due.
If you're doing that, try temp charting and/or ovulation kits to make sure you are ovulating when you think you are.
If you've done that and still no luck, or your cycles are irregular (hard to time when you never know when they're coming), see a doctor. You could be not ovulating, or something else could be preventing you from conceiving. A year is long enough to see someone about fertility. Talk to your GYN first, and if further steps are necessary, they can refer you.

Read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler and learn the signs of ovulation. If you're timing it "right," have him see a specialist because male infertility is easier to diagnose & treat than female. If you were on Depo-Provera, it might take longer for your fertility to return because of Depo's effects, but in any case try to not stress out and just enjoy being intimate with each other.

Make a Dr appt...go in and talk to the DR. You need to start testing. You can go for a blood test on teh 21st day of your cycle to see that you are ovulating. If you aren't...try clomid. If you are...then go for a HSG to check for blockages. If all is clear...then get your fiance to go in for a sperm analysis. You have many options to find out what is wrong.

Its all mental. Do you like babies or do you find them a nuisance. If you are not ready for it your body just refuses to ovulate in woman and in men the sperm count is just lower. I can tell you you were not readyto have a baby because you were on the pills. When you are stressed out you cant ovulate. If you do not like babies than you wont have any. Try showing more love to babies, kids, nephew nieces and your mind will take notice and prepare your body for conception.

Are you charting your temperate? Watching your cervical
mucous? There are lots of signs as to when your ovulating.
After a year of trying most Doctors will refer to a specialist.

Pray!.........The Bible says, "Where two or more are gathered in my name there will I be also." Now you've got GOD"S attention. By the way if you wait until after the wedding for sleeping together God will be really pleased and bless you for it. maybe there is something GOD wants to deal with one or both of you on first.
