go onto sunbiz.org and you will pay a i believe it is a 50 dollar fee to register a fictious name in the state of florida you can think of what your small business wants to be called. then they will mail you a certificate from sunbiz or you can print it off the computer thats what i did, that states your business name in florida is registered,, with that paper you go to the court house and you will pay 25 dollars for a occupational license and thats all you be legal, to advertise, work and all.. good luck i did the same 2 yrs ago in central south florida, its great paying down here..oh i also forgot you can get insurance through your car insurance agency also, most carry a business ins. to, for very cheap..

Hey,

Tim is dead on right. For all that stuff he said, you should go to your local Small Business Administration (SBA) office. They have a boatload of information and resources for you there to help you get started.

Contact your local business office and see what licenses are applicable and get them. I would suggest incorporating or forming and LLC to protect yourself and your assets. Also, make sure you have adequate liability insurance. 1 mil of insurance shouldn't cost that much. Good luck.
