Nobody will knock your door because you carry a big banner saying " Hire me", fisrt you must make your jobs known by everyone who can help you became famous, try to participate in contest, make a home page and write there.
You do not tell anything about what kind od text you write about (novels, fiction, drama, etc.etc.) or publish a link where yourbooks can be read so how people might know about you??

Good Luck! I am also a freelance writer and have had my work published in British periodicals. It is hard to break into the writing market but don't give up. Keep trying to learn more and entering contests is not a bad idea. Many famous authors were turned down countless numbers of times before they finally were published so just keep trying.
