A positive is a positive as long as you're reading it in the specified time frame. Test again in a few days to be sure, but for now you can safely proceed with the assumption you are pregnant. Pregnancy tests check for a hormone that is ONLY produced if you're pregnant. If the line is there, it's there. For what it's worth, the tests at the Dollar Tree are the most sensitive on the market.

As for my own experience, yes I've had faint tests. I tested early on two separate times and wasn't sure so a few days later I checked again and there it was again. I had miscarriages both times, but that had nothing to do with the test and everything to do with my own body.

Yes both of my pregnancies when I tested the result was faint. This pregnancy I took 2 days before my period was due and it was light but I could still see it. A line is a line as long as it is within the time period and make sure it isnt a evaporation line, sometimes those wil come if the test has sat too long.

Yes, and it does mean pregnancy. The second line picks up a hormone that's only there when you are pregnant, so it just means that there's not much hormone there yet (it takes the body a bit of time to build it up). Depending on how late you are, make an appointment with a doctor as soon as you can to make sure that your body is responding properly. In a couple of days the line should be much clearer.

However, make sure you really can see a line. Sometimes wishful thinking/ fear (depending on your situation) can make you see a line that isn't there. If you're in a situation where you can, get a friend to have a look to confirm there is a line.

Yes. Everyone and every pregnancy produces hormones at different rates. The line means that HCG - the hormone that is produced during pregnancy is present, therefore no matter how faint it is, the pregnancy test is positive. My pregnancy test with my second son went navy the second it reached the test strip indicator and I was only 5 weeks, with my first I was 7 weeks and it was quite faint.

Yes, last time I was pregnant! When I did the first test it was really strong, then when I did one with my partner it was really faint. Apparently, it depends on the time of day, but I can't remember which way round you get the clearest reaction (morning or evening). It does advise you on the actual test instructions the best time of day to get the clearest result, but a line is still a line and faint or not you are most likely pregnant.

oh yes! with my first pregnancy it was faint and so i repeated the test three times over a week period just to check i was really pregnant. The line is fainter at the beginning of pregnancy as the hormone levels are only just beginning to rise. Don't waste your money like I did though.....two is ore than enough to spend your dosh on! good luck

YES! I remember staring at it thinking, "Oh I'm not pregnant then". Then realised there was a feint line, hardly visible. Did a second the next day and asked other half if he could see it (which he said he could). The result is now 8 1/2 years old. However feint, a line is a line is a line!!!! As I was told back in 1998, maybe your in denial????? Good luck, you'll be fine.

Mine came out VERY faint. It said directly on the box that any coloring of the line is positive. So I am pregnant. Your pregnancy hormone is just low. I would take another just to check though.

Usually positive whether line faint or strong. Repeat test after couple of days. Congratulations.

A line is a line and you are most likely pregnant. Start your prenatals and call for a doctor appointment. It can take awhile to get into a doctors office so the sooner you call the better chance you have. They will also want to confirm it with a blood test. It is very likely congratulations are in order.
