To feel connected. I served over 30 years in the military, and it was/is hard to go from a uniform to wearing random shirts/pants to work (I work in an office). As weird as it may sound, I feel anxiety when I have to decide what to wear each day. It's just a random shirt/slacks. I started to wear my service branch tie pin to help me feel grounded. But when I found a logo which I could identify with, I bought a couple shirts. Right away I felt less anxious as I knew what I would wear and the logo, in a sense, replaced my stripes/insignia which made me feel a part of where I worked. I know, I need therapy right. Let people think what they will, that I am trying to show off or whatever, but I would get looks (positive and otherwise) when I was uniform. People will think as they will and I have no control over that. I wear what feels right for me.

I don't like to wear clothes with corporate logos, but if an item is otherwise attractive and practical the logo doesn't disqualify it for me. The exception would be something that advertises something I'm opposed to... For example I won't wear anything with tobacco or soft drink advertising. Same with anything that glorifies war, i.e. no fatigues. My local dollar store had a bunch of Operation Iraqi Freedom (gag) shirts some years ago. I bought one to use for helping to clean out my neighbors' damp, mold-infested basement and threw it out rather than wash it.

Most of the time they have to like a uniform. Maybe not the FCUK which is ridiculous but the Coke and Pepsi people, for example, where i work have to wear them.

Some people with Corporate logos might just be proud of where they work. (go figure).
And namebrands - its a status symbol, it makes people feel good to show off what they can afford. Some people don't need that extra assurance and wear a lower end brand.

To advertise in the market world today. To make people think wow I should check that out and buy something. That is what gives people pay checks. Also how we survive in this world. If it werent for those advertisments we wouldnt have anything. I am very proud to wear one of their shirts

I think its lame when people buy clothes that blurt out the company that made it. If i'm advertising for you, I better be getting it for free and not have to pay $25 for a shirt that says "Vans" or whatever.

It's a status symbol. The people who can afford Burberry want to let people know that they can.

I really don't pay attention to it. I could care less what someone else is wearing except for my kids. Then I pay attention to what they are wearing.
