I want to say good job, thank you and Bon Appetit!
We know how hard it is. We look out for each other. We appreciate good food, good drink and good friends. To you "scientists" in the kitchen. Your combinations are unexpected and amazing. To all you lovelies in the front of house, you make everything gorgeous, welcoming and you are super knowledgable. I know you are NOT to blame if something is too cold or not very palatable. If someone out there hasn't told you, I'm telling you. Thank you so much for you hard work, patience and dilligence. If anyone else out there feels the same way, let it be known and earn yourself 2 points.

I worked in the restaurant industry and do realized whom it is to blame for i.e. the bathroom being dirty.. the host being evil.. my food being incorrect or having a hair in it.. my cocktail that tastes like water.. etc.. and it certainly isn't my server!!!!!!!!!!! Most people need to realize that most f-ups in your dining experience doesn't come from the server but by.. management not taking care of the bitchy hostess or the lazy bartender or the inept busser... The server gets punished for all the shortcomings of the restaurant as a whole. Its quite ridiculous.

I agree. I had never worked in the industry until recently starting some part time catering support. This is tough work and not all customers are aware of what goes on behind the scenes to pull of even a decent meal and service.
My hats off to those who serve in this field regularly. Hard work done with a smile. Thanks!

quite! i quite have self assurance that anybody ought to artwork in a eating position of a few kind only to confirm how puzzling it quite might want to be. I actually have self assurance that youngsters ought to ought to take a classification in severe college on tipping your servers. regrettably, a penny in the mash potatoes isn't a tip that we servers opt for to receive, even no matter if it truly is promenade evening. All man or woman s who have not worked in a eating position seem to imagine that it truly is between the finest jobs to artwork at. Hmmm, writing the order for one table of four, a value tag for a table of 12 (which they see), and a value tag for both excellent that became sat at the same time as the different 2 tables. it truly is basically 18 human beings all at one time it truly is being searching after. beverages, apps, soups, salads, entrees, and cakes for 18 human beings all at the same time. yet human beings seem to imagine they are the in reality table that server is searching after. And enable's no longer ignore all the severe-upkeep human beings and those who imagine they are extra useful than the server. And what else can we servers do to boot handling the severe-upkeep and snobbery? We take the blame for the kitchen's fault (it shows in our suggestion). no count number how puzzling we attempt (and likely, alot human beings both have college tiers, some from prestigious universities, or are operating by college) it truly is continually our fault. it truly is outstanding how ignorant maximum anybody is even as it includes eating position workers. sure, each man or woman ought to artwork in a eating position once or extra of their existence.

You are right we don't show appreciation to the ones who work behind the scenes. And it's funny you mention that because one day me and my husband went to the Waffle house and there was this cook in the back working his butt off and as we went to leave not only did we tip the waitress but we tipped him as well. Thank you for all you do people in the back that keep everything running smooth. Thumbs UP!

Thank you. It's actually rare to hear a compliment. Too often servers are faulted for things they have no control over. And many people dont understand that is how they make their living for their families.
