When "outside" sources are counted, - the Bible is the most refered to text in "jabber-ing" between the founding fathers.
I wouldn't say the 10 commandments, but the principals of "who man is" and how he relates to one another is definitely "inspired" from the writtings in the Bible.
I find it interesting that the concept that all men are corrupt and / or corruptable (evil) led to the checks-and-balance concept of our govn't. Which has brought out the 'best' in our society.
While the communist / socialist govn't concept refers to the goodness of everyone to cooperate and "let's work together", which has brought out the worst corruption and oppression of any society, - Which has brought out the 'worst' of society.
A paradox,... uhhhmmm.

The delegates drew on their own experiences, past experience as they worked to create the Constitution. For example, Franklin proposed a plan at the Albany Congress to unify the colonies. Washington remembered his own problems during the war when, as commander in chief, he had to work with the weak Confederation government. The delegates disagreed on details but were united in wanting the new government to be strong enough to rule the nation. They also wanted the government to respect the liberties of the states and its people. All the delegates were of Christian faith and their values were imposed upon the Constitution.

The constitution sets forth a set of moral values important to the country for law and order. The values are very much in line with the values set forth in the 10 commandments so in my way of thinking it was inspired by the teachings of the bible. I don't know the religions of the authors of the constitution but I would guess that most were Christian.

Of course it is not, anymore than the US is a theocracy based on Christian beliefs...at least not yet.
The ten commandments are laws and some laws that our government have are the same. I can hardly see not having a law that say murder is wrong...can you???
