1. Franklin was a diplomat during the American Revolution. He persuaded France to join the American cause. Without this aid, America may not have won it's independence from Brittan.
2. Many old sayings that we still recite today come from Franklin's writings.
3. Many common items that we still use today were inventions of Franklin, for example the rocking chair. He also designed the first postal service, and the first fire station.
