As you have told he can only be nominated. Our politicians will never allow him to be elected PM since in India PM is not elected directly by people. The MPs who elect the PM will not vote him to power.

In India the President can never become the PM. If Mr. Kalam is (Hypothetically) elected the P.M., he will go on delivering Computer generated speeches, which the ordinary politicians are not bothered to listen, they would sleep like Deva Gouda.

He can become one but problem is not with the prime minister alone, problem is with the rotten system. Politicians have to be social workers, educated and intellectual ones and not the lavish rulers as they are now. Can Mr Kalam can change this system alone? No, this revolution has to come from general Indian public. Just stop voting for these filthy politicians!
