Absolutely! I live in the U.S. and whether we all admit it or not, we all agree that the English accent sounds much nicer than our own. If you have an English accent or can at least fake one really well, you will go far with American women. Not to generalize about women, but I really think it tends to be true mate.

I went out with an american girl before whom I met at uni...what a disaster!! It came down to the golden rule - long distance relationships never work! For the guy who said some British accents sounds a "trainwreck", I can say the same for some American accents I've heard! But at the end of the day,there's far more to relationships than just accents.

The accent is the thing. I am English and married to an American. I get lots of American women who know me stop me just to hear me talk.
I guess it must be the James Bond, English accent thing that does it. Not all American women like it, but many do. Thankfully for me my wife does.

generally, women like accents that they dont hear all the time, whether its English, or not.
men like a woman with an accent too, so it works both ways.
also, i've heard british accents that are very dignified and sound very nice on a woman. i've heard others that are almost impossible to understand, and if the person speaking looks like a trainwreck, it probably doesnt matter to most ppl what they Sound like.
so, i think its the accent, not the place the person is from. i'm from new england, and i've gone to other parts of the country, and other countries, and ppl stop me there because i'm the one who sounds different in that case.

No !! They like Scots accents better especially if you are wearing a kilt at the time.........also James Bond alias SEAN Connery "The Best" he had a Scottish accent even as the Russian commander in The Hunt for Red October.

Yes. British accents are sexy but I weren't find u appealing if u looked like Prince Charles.
