Easily, Colts vs Saints.
1.) The 3-13 Saints resurface to earn a Super Bowl berth. Add to that the whole "destiny" thing, with the Katrina overtones, and it's a good story.
2.) Manning : can he win the big one?
Chicago might be a good team, but the bottom line is that, from a media coverage standpoint, they're boring. They're uninteresting, and people won't like that. The Colts and Saints give the media something to focus on.

Definitely Colts vs. Saints because of everything you described. Both teams have explosive offenses and both are speedy dome teams and neither team has what you would call and outstanding defense though the Colts D has played well in the last couple of games. I think it would be an exicting and high scoring game. And most of America is rooting for the Saints after Katrina, so i think that's the best match up that can be made. I'll bet that's the one CBS is praying for too. Plus it would be nice to see Peyton Manning get a ring. Colts vs Bears wouldn't be too bad cause it would be a great offense vs. a great (even though they haven't shown it lately) defense. I don't think anyone outside of New England is rooting for the Pats to be there.

1. Colts/Saints - Best matchup because no matter who wins, it is a good story. Saints would be a team of destiny, Colts would get Peyton his first ring.
2. Saints/Pats - Again, Saints: Team of Destiny. Pats would cement their dynasty.
3. Colts/Bears - Peyton again. Bears prove you can win with an awful QB.
4. Pats/Bears - Seriously, would anyone care other than the players' mothers? What a disappointment this matchup would be.

Colts vs Saints....should have been San Diego vs Saints...but things didnt work out so good. Anyway, Media loves story book seasons. Manning maybe finally getting a ring...The Saints rebounding from a 3-13 year and katrina...That would be monumental...It would be great for Chicago. But what do they have to offer...really

Colts vs Saints
Easy one,
Best
Colts- Manning gets the monkey off his back. Dungy is such a class act that it would be so great to see him make it.
Saints- Cinderella team makes it
Worst
Patriots Vs Bears.
Why? Same old story

I agree with you. I think the Colts & Saints are the best matchup, although I wouldn't mind seeing another OFF vs. DEF matchup with Colts vs. Bears.

I think Colts/Saints, for the reasons you mentioned, but also Archie Manning (Peyton's Dad) was the Saints' QB for so long and Peyton grew up in New Orleans.

Saints vs Colts{manning hometown boy against hometown team}. I know you said personal feelings aside, but please, We have been waiting for this moment for 40 years, and to be able to share it with Peyton, (his first as well) would be amazing. Besides that, both teams have GREAT offenses, and respectable defenses, this would definately be a great matchup!!! GEAUX SAINTS~!!!
