Yes. It was a law specifically targeting one company. That type of targeting of people or corporations is wrong by any objective standard, and should have been opposed by any fair-minded person. It was malicious legislation.

This was not activism, it was following the law. The court absolutely did the right thing in this case. The MD legislature got way too big for their britches in this matter.
