I mean, is there really a wrong side of the bed? What if your bed is pushed up against the wall...there is only one side left!
I think maybe I did wake up on the wrong side of something this morning...my head is killing me!

This expression has been getting on my nerves as well (though I rarely hear it anymore). When you think about it, the bed does not have a wrong side - just a right side and a left side.

It's funny you should ask b/c I use to say that to people ALL THE TIME!! My bed was pushed on one side, so when people would say that I would respond with
"Well, I guess everyday it's gonna get worse and worse b/c I only have ONE side!"

I think people think it's a stupid and nice way to say "you look like s***" or "What's with the mood?" but I totally know what you're saying! "I got up on the wrong side of the bed and I was stuck!"

My husband says that to me sometimes. That I did get up on the wrong side. I'm always like "Shut up and go to work". But he knows I'm joking. Well, i'm smiling when I say it. ..
