I've been off of birth control now for exactly one year, after being on them for around 10 months and haven't gotten my period yet. Am I infertile? What will help bring about a period? By the way, I am not pregnant.

I was on the patch for about two months but it didn't stick, and then on the pill, never the shot. I have had hormon testing and ultrasounds and it's all clear. I have had to cysts on one ovary at once, but they're gone now.

You should definitely see your doctor or gynacologist for the loss of period. I have had cysts on my ovaries as well and months without periods but everything turned out to be normal. Birth controls never worked well for me either and screwed up my whole cycle at times. I wouldn't think you would be infertile but that is something your doctor needs to check. After having some of the same experiences as you are mentioning, I managed to have 3 kids!

I agree that you should definitely see a doctor, *however* here are some "alternative" herbal treatments that have helped women in your exact same situation (me included!).

**Vitex - Herbal supplement**
**Parsely Tea - To induce periods**
**Raspberry Leaf Tea - For Uterine tone**

Check out the website below, they often have threads about this exact subject, and I've seen a LOT of women get help.

You must go to your Doctor because even if you are on birth control you still have a period (loss of womb lining)but theres no ovulation(egg).Have a check up to make sure,he may change your pill.Lindsay.

Was it shots you were on..they screw a women's system up. Go to a doctor and have blood tests and an ultrasound done. That will clear up what's going on with your cycle.
