My war started in France. I asked for the front line infantry. They're the ones who do the killing with rifles, grenades, pistols, and bayonets. My buddies and I did not join the service to die on foreign soil. We joined to fight for America. We were prepared to die if we had to.
After a few really tough battles, we began to look foreward to a good scrap. The "rush" that a hunter gets is like nothing compaired to battle.
From an English poem " and my chaps, I just couldn't hold them. It's strange how it is with gore. In some ways it's just like whiskey, when you have some, you must have more".

Unfortunately dying in combat is one of the down sides of being in the army. A very real occupational hazard.
war=army=combat=death
I think that is not really the question you are asking though, is it. What you are trying to ask is
'are the current military campaigns being waged by the US worth the lives of US soldiers'
To which the answer of the question is, probably not, though all said I am not an American solider or an Iraqi, so am probably not in the best position to answer.

very last I appeared the commander in chief became a democrat. Democrats opt for all of it, they opt for to be the international police, they opt for a welfare state at homestead,they opt for the U. S. to be a welfare workplace for some thing of the international, they opt for an organization/banker welfare state with bailouts and loans. maximum Republicans opt for a similar yet no man or woman looks to word. From 2008-2012, the yank tax payer paid extra for Israels military than the Israeli tax payer. And the U. S. ought to were out of Afghanistan some time previous. How is Afghanistan going to be any extra useful in 2014? Obama had to stay in Iraq longer besides the undeniable fact that the Iraq authorities does no longer conform to the words and prerequisites. The tax payers continues to be finding out to purchase 16000 inner most protection contractors in Iraq and for the upkeep on the 80 football sized embassy in Iraq.

Would you rather they die on our own soil? I would much prefer the war to take place overseas and not here!

Only if our National Security really depends on it (ie: WWII). Sadly, that's typically not the case (ie: Korea, Vietnam, Iraq). Nowadays, it's usually more about oil or gaining political influence in certain regions of the world.

so why shouldn't we be the ones to be good Samaritans?
