I think it is a rediculous idea! And I would have to question the knowledge and IQ of people of propose such a theory. I mean in a sense they are asking that murder be legalized. Well, I'm not one to think that someone being "braindead" is a good enough reason to legally murder someone. What the Hell is wrong with these people? Are they educated? What the hell are they teaching in colleges these days? I think people are getting more and more "less educated". Clearly someone with a theory like this not only lacks morals; they lack knowledge as well. Mabe they should go to law school and learn what the word "MURDER" means!

People who are saying these things have no idea what they are talking about. They are thinking...gee if I eliminate an entire group of people, ill get a few extra bucks in my paycheck? Hello??
I could understand if someone is in a coma and left specific instructions stating that they would want to be euthanized. Or if they were terminally ill and suffered exquisite pain on a daily basis. But to be exterminated for being mentally retarded? Come on.
The "mentally disabled" go to workshops for 8 hours a day, where most of them do sweatshop assembly work for pennies (ex for every 100 boxes you fold you get 2.00). Others have their own jobs, and just need a little guidance and protection (from evil people who want them dead). Most of the money from their disability goes to the people who take care of them, and to the people who rent them group homes creating THOUSANDS of jobs. The effect of mental disability on the economy is minimal. All people are capable of contributing to society. No matter what their IQ is.

I've never heard a reasonable person propose anything like this.
Are you thinking of sterilization, and not euthanization (I hope)? If so, this was a common practice during the eugenics projects of the 20th Century, and is now generally not done against someone's will.

Euthanasia, like abortion, is a highly controversial issue. There are valid points on both sides of the spectrum. However, no matter how you try to justify it with semantics and compelling arguments, euthanasia, even under the most extreme circumstances, is murder. Period.

Are you just speaking hypothetically? Who euthanizes the mentally disabled? In the US a mentally disabled person can't even receive the death penalty for a crime for which an able-minded person would be executed.
