There are only two Flyers on the team,
Gagne & Forsberg
For the most part, the rest of the team is made up of the Phantoms
The AHL can NOT win games in the NHL
Until the Flyers decide to get some NHL players,
they can't even compete, let alone win
It's truely an embarassment,

Bobby Clark and the Flyers organization felt for many years that bigger is better. In draft years before 2003 the bigger players were drafted first. They also made trades for bigger, slower guys such as Darien Hatcher and so on In the "new" NHL it has been proven that the smaller, more skilled players can adapt to the new rules better and teams that looked into this 5 years ago are benefitting now. It has taken the Flyers up until this season to figure this out but they do have some good draft picks. Steve Downie on my Kitchener Rangers is one of many good prospects the Flyers have but it will take years for the draft picks to have an effect on previous bad judgements.
Another area the Flyers have not addressed for many years is goaltending but they have to get faster first.

They clung with ferocity to the old NHL and didn't adapt with the new speed, etc.
Bobby Clarke can't get passed the broad street bully days of Philly. He was an awesome player, but he doesn't shift gears fast enough..
I still think the Flyers will turn it around, but it may take a few seasons.
Look at Pittsburgh, or Buffalo. Built from within, patience, etc.

Unfortunately the Flyers weren't ready for the "New" NHL... Booby Clarke had built the backend which was way too big and slow and $$$$ consuming....and it flopped. Forsberg's foot is horrible....so that's affected his game...and without any decent players...or proven players I should say as they have a lot of younger talent....Gagne doesn't have a set-up man......
oh yeah....and Philly's has need a goalie for....at least a decade....and they NEVER address that!

Too many free Agents signing outside of Philly and a Terrible Coach is what's wrong here, and NO you're not moving your teams to KC Houston or Canada because they Suck, you gotta return to the Fundamentals of Hockey.

well it started off they had a bad coach to begin the season with and then they were plagued by injuries....they're so far behind because of that that they don't have a chance to revive their season or make the playoffs....but their actually not a bad team..i'm a devils fan and i remember when we played them they were a tough team to beat..we still won though

well, the ex-GM couldn't find much talent, and when he does get someone exciting to come to philly, it happens to be someone who gets injured too often and isn't reliable to always be on the ice. they'll have some rebuilding to do like their cross-state rivals have been doing.
