I have to agree with you about Durant. He is unbelievable. This kid belongs in the NBA. There are no flaws in his game. His numbers show it! 23PPG 11REB He is even more dominant in conference play averaging 33PPG and 14REB. I love watching this guy!

1. Kevin Durant (Texas; Scores, rebounds, and plays solid D. Averages 24.5 points a game and he is what? A FRESHMAN
2. Alando Tucker (Wisconsin; the best player on a 1-loss team ranked #2 in the nation)
3. Nick Fazekas (Nevada; guaranteed a double-double every game)
4. Rodney Stuckey (E. Wash; Experts say he has a chance of being the #1 overall pick and he is averaging 22.9 PPG)
5. Chris Lofton (Tennessee; Best shooter in the nation hands down)

Alando Tucker from Wisconsin. Nearly all of the ESPN analysts say he is not only the best, but also the most versatile player in the NCAA this year.

Oden has a lot to learn, but is only good because of his size. Hansborough is very good, but not great yet. Noah is good because of the team.

Top Candidates are Durant (texas), Tucker (Wisconsin), Oden (OSU), Hansbrough (UNC) and Noah (Florida)

Out of those 5, I would have to say the early faves are Durant and Tucker.

One not listed on your question: Nick Fazekas of Nevada

He is this year's Andrew Bogut. 6'11", can hit the three, rebound, block shots. Nevada is real good this year, I think they have only lost once this year to UNLV, but they beat Cal, Gonzaga, and Oregon State. All thinks to Fazekas.

He is averaging over 20 ppg on 50%fgp, 40%3pfgp, and he is the top rebounder in America averaging 12 boards per game. No slouch on defense too: 1.5 bpg and 1 spg.

Nevada is the 15th best team in the rankings and it should only go higher. Fazekas deserves player of the year for getting them there.
